Black Beauty (Solanum melongena) is one of America’s favorite eggplants — a very well-adapted, open-pollinated classic variety that thrives in almost every part of the country. Large, glossy, deep-purple fruits are mildly flavored and beautiful to look at. Big yields, easy to grow, and wonderful for stir-fries, grilling, baking, or any eggplant dish. 80 days.
Start indoors 8–10 weeks before last frost. Transplant outdoors after all frost danger has passed into warm soil in full sun. Space plants 18–24 inches apart. Water consistently. Harvest when skin is glossy and fruit gives slightly to pressure — do not let over-ripen on the plant.

The seeds arrived around the estimated time of arrival. They were well packaged and looked good. I planted a few 3 days ago and I've already got sprouts.
I hope these flowers will grow in North Dakota! The colors are vibrant and hopefully the bees will like them. I will have to wait until after the Big Thaw in April before I can plant them - can't wait!
