Baby Green Hubbard (Cucurbita maxima) is a smaller, more manageable version of the classic Blue Hubbard — blue-green, warty-skinned fruits weighing 5–8 lbs with sweet, dry, deep orange flesh that is exceptional for pies, soups, and roasting. Easier to handle than a full-sized Hubbard and just as delicious. Excellent keeper. 100 days.
Direct sow outdoors after last frost in full sun, or start indoors 3–4 weeks before transplanting. Sow 1 inch deep, spacing plants 36–48 inches apart. Water consistently. Harvest when skin is hard and stem is dry.
