Amish Melon (Cucumis melo) is a reliable heirloom muskmelon that provides nice yields under most conditions. Tender fruits grow 4–7 pounds with sweet salmon-colored flesh that is very juicy with full muskmelon flavor and a rather thick rind. Produces good crops under almost any conditions — a true garden workhorse. 80–90 days.
Start indoors 3–4 weeks before last frost. Transplant outdoors after all frost danger has passed into warm soil in full sun. Space plants 3–4 feet apart. Water consistently. Harvest when rind turns golden and melon slips from vine.
