Alaska (Pisum sativum) is an 1881 English heirloom bred by Thomas Laxton of Bedford, England — a cross of Ringleader and Little Gem peas. One of the earliest-producing peas available, thriving in cool soils. Heavy yields of 2–3-inch pods with 5–8 peas each. Perfect for pea soup, canning, and freezing.
