Soldacki, Tomato
-
The Soldacki Tomato is an heirloom variety brought to Cleveland, Ohio, by a Polish family in 1900. This large beefsteak tomato thrives in our garden and is perfect for sandwiches, sauces, salsas, or eating fresh. These robust, productive plants yield juicy, meaty tomatoes with a well-balanced flavor. Remember to stake the plants, or you might find the tomatoes on the ground! They produce fruit until frost arrives and typically weigh between 1 and 1.5 pounds, measuring 3 to 3.5 inches in diameter, with noticeable ribbing. The tomatoes take about 90 days to mature, but watch out for occasional cracking.
