Large Red Thick Cayenne Pepper is twice as thick as other cayenne types! The flesh is huge, wrinkled, tapered, and curved, around 6" long by 1.2" in diameter. Large Cayenne-type peppers are spicy hot and turn fiery red at maturity. Cayenne Thick peppers are curved and long with strong spiciness. Each grows to be 6-7" long and is 1.0-1.25" wide. They have wrinkled dark green skin with thick flesh and mature to be a deep red. Very hot, thick-fleshed fruits are a favorite for using dried, pickled, or sauces. Concentrated sets of pendant fruits - wrinkled, tapered, and curved - are borne on solid upright plants. They ripen from a lustrous dark green to a brilliant scarlet.
