Growing Notes

Direct sow outdoors 4–6 weeks before last frost in spring, or in late summer for a fall crop. Sow seeds 1 inch deep, 2–3 inches apart, in rows 18–24 inches apart. Provide a trellis or support for 7-foot vines. Water consistently. Harvest pods frequently — regular picking keeps plants productive. Cool weather produces the best flavor; peas slow in summer heat.
