Burgundy Boston (Lactuca sativa) is a beautiful butterhead heirloom — deep burgundy outer leaves with a pale, buttery green heart. Naturally aphid-resistant and easy to grow. Soft, tender leaves with the classic mild butterhead flavor. Forms compact, well-shaped heads. Excellent for home gardens and containers.
Direct sow outdoors in early spring or fall, or start indoors 4–6 weeks before last frost. Sow seeds ¼ inch deep, thinning to 8–10 inches apart. Prefers cool weather. Water consistently. Harvest when heads are firm and full.

The seeds arrived around the estimated time of arrival. They were well packaged and looked good. I planted a few 3 days ago and I've already got sprouts.
I hope these flowers will grow in North Dakota! The colors are vibrant and hopefully the bees will like them. I will have to wait until after the Big Thaw in April before I can plant them - can't wait!
