Large Barred Boar Tomato, Heirloom Seeds — The Early Pink-Brown Beefsteak With Metallic Green Stripes

Large Barred Boar (Lycopersicon lycopersicum) is a stocky, shorter-than-average indeterminate heirloom with a striking appearance — flattened beefsteak fruits are pink-brown with metallic green stripes, weighing 8–12 oz. Very meaty pink flesh with outstanding flavor. Like most dark tomatoes, it is one of the first ripe tomatoes of the season. Early to mid-early. An excellent choice for home gardens. 65–70 days.

Why Grow Large Barred Boar?

  • Striking pink-brown with metallic green stripes — one of the most beautiful heirloom tomatoes
  • 8–12 oz very meaty pink flesh — outstanding flavor
  • One of the first ripe tomatoes of the season — early like most dark varieties
  • Stocky, compact indeterminate — shorter than most, easier to manage
  • Open-pollinated heirloom — save seed year after year
