Refined French filet bean. Easy to grow, disease resistant. Produces extra fine beans. It is sweet and tender, freezes, and canes well. Extra fine variety combines compact plant architecture with a very uniform pod set. Upright, compact plants produce uniform sets of dark green, extra-fine grade 4–5" pods. Excellent yields for a filet type. White seeds. Bush bean.

Sow seeds outdoors after the danger of frost has passed and soil and air temperatures have warmed. Harvest frequently to increase yields. Keep the soil cool with regular watering and good mulching. Choose well-drained soil with a pH above 6.0. After the last frost date, sow seeds directly into the garden soil about 2" apart, 1" deep, in rows 20–36" apart. The optimum soil temperature for germination is 70–90°F plant when daytime soil temperatures average at least 60°F, or risk poor germination. Inoculants can increase yields. Make successive sowings every 2–3 weeks through midsummer for a continuous supply. Do not thin. Dark-colored seeds germinate better in cool soil than white seeds.
