Black Turtle, Heirloom Dry Bush Bean Seeds — The Classic Frijoles Negros for Caribbean and Latin American Cuisine

Black Turtle is the classic frijoles negros — widely used all over the Americas, especially in black bean soup, and the best-dried variety for Caribbean and Latin American cuisine. Dwarf, compact half-runner plants bear large yields of 7–8 small, shiny black beans per pod with a dense, meaty texture when dry. Pods are tender and crisp enough to be used as snap beans if picked early. Easy to grow, dry, and harvest — half-runner plants sprawl out a bit but need no trellising. Heat and disease resistant. 85 days.
