This variety produces large, slightly oblate red tomatoes, ideal for both processing and slicing. Known for its dark red color, good flavor, and blemish-free fruit, it retains the calyx on the plant at harvest. Healthy, dark green plants provide good leaf cover and reduce sun scalds. They yield split-resistant fruit weighing 7-10 ounces late into the season, maintaining quality into autumn. This variety, which scored highly in the Dry Farm Tomato Trials at OSU, was bred by Tim Peters of Peters Seed and Research in Riddle, Oregon. 60-70 days.
