Green Top Bunching Beet (Beta vulgaris) is the dual-purpose beet built for market gardens and home growers who want the most from every plant. Best known for its exceptional 15-inch tops — tall, vigorous, dark green leaves that hold their color beautifully and are perfect for bunching and selling at market — this variety delivers a full greens crop alongside tasty, flattened globe-shaped red roots that are excellent for cooking or pickling. The tops are the star: glossy, color-holding, and ideal for salad mix or market bunches. The roots are deep red, flavorful, and ready at 60 days. Approx. 1,500 seeds/oz.
Direct sow outdoors 4–6 weeks before last frost or in late summer for fall harvest. Sow seeds ½ inch deep, 1 inch apart, in rows 12 inches apart. Thin to 3–4 inches for root production. Full sun preferred. Keep soil consistently moist. Harvest greens as needed throughout the season; harvest roots at 60 days when 2–3 inches in diameter for best flavor.
