China Rose, Radish,
China Rose radish is one of the oldest heirloom radishes around. Very hardy fall/winter radish; also grows well in the spring. The pure white flesh is firm and relatively mild. Roots are about 5 inches long, and rose in color. A classic "winter" radish that is best planted later in the season, and then harvested for winter storage. This radish hails from China and was introduced to the occidental world by Jesuit monks in the 1950s. 55 days.
