Long popular Italian greens heirloom, the leaves of Arugula Arugula Rocket provide a peppery flavor when added to a salad. Fast-growing cool-season salad or sandwich green. The sharp, distinctive, nutty flavor is best when picked young, about 2 to 3 inches long. Produces tiny, delicate flowers. Self-seeding and hardy. Plants look a little like dandelions but are bigger and more open. Leaves grow best in cool weather. Leafy plants grow 6 to 12 inches tall while in the harvest stage. Full maturity: 45 -50 days.
