Purple Podded Pole Bean Heirloom Garden Seed. Henry Fields discovered this delicious heirloom in the Ozark Mountains in the 1930s. It grows to over 6 feet, producing excellent flavored purple pods that are high-quality, richly flavored, and stringless. The pods grow 5-7" long and turn to dark green when cooked. It is an attractive plant with purple vines and pretty bicolored flowers. A delectable bean for eating fresh and for canning. Pole habit, snap, 68 days. Germination time- 4–10 Days
