In the Kitchen

Growing Notes

Direct sow outdoors after last frost when soil has warmed to at least 60°F. Sow 1 inch deep, spacing seeds 3–4 inches apart in rows 18–24 inches apart in full sun in well-draining soil (pH 6.0–7.0). Do not over-fertilize with nitrogen — beans fix their own. Water consistently; avoid overhead watering to reduce disease pressure.
