Bush Crop Cucumber (Cucumis sativus) is a dwarf vining heirloom variety purpose-built for small gardens, containers, and short growing seasons. Said to originate in India, this highly productive plant matures in just 55 days and produces 6–8" slightly tapered, smooth green fruits with a light, sweet flavor and matching aroma. No sprawling vines to manage — Bush Crop stays compact while delivering impressive yields. Non-GMO, open-pollinated, heirloom.
Harvest when fruits are 6–8" long and firm. Cut at the stem — do not twist or pull. Harvest when fruits are tender; if the fruit feels too soft, it has been left too long. Frequent harvesting encourages continued production throughout the season.
Bush Crop cucumbers are sweet and tender — excellent for fresh eating, sliced in salads, served with dips, or used in light pickling. Their mild flavor and smooth skin make them a versatile kitchen staple.
