Caribbean Yellow Habanero Hot Pepper, AKA: Yellow Habanero. Incredibly hot, petite, lemon-yellow lantern-shaped fruit, measuring one by 1 1/2 inches. Among the hottest of the Habanero family, it weighs in at a blistering 450,000 Scoville Units. Believed to have originated in the Yucatan region of Mexico, the Yellow Habanero is now common throughout the Caribbean and North America. Produces fruits about an inch and a half in length. Thin-walled and wrinkled. Handle with extreme care (watch where you scratch). Ninety days till maturity from transplant.
