The roughly 2-foot tall plants produce 4-lobed peppers with purple skin and lime-green flesh within. They have a mildly sweet flavor with a crisp texture and are delicious raw or cooked. Start seeds indoors in the early spring. Transplant seedlings into pots and grow until there are six good leaves on the plant. Plant 30" apart in soil or into 5-gallon buckets. Harvest peppers when they are full-sized and purple. Germination: 7 - 21 days (75 days)
