Grows to 18–24 inches in diameter and typically weighs 40–60 lbs, with exceptional specimens exceeding 100 lbs. The thick, pale yellow-orange flesh is edible but coarse — excellent for pies. Growing Notes

Plant seeds outdoors after all frost risk has passed and soil temperature reaches 65°F. Plant 3–5 seeds 1 inch deep per mound; thin to 2 strongest seedlings. For maximum size, grow one pumpkin per vine and fertilize regularly with a low-nitrogen, high-phosphorus fertilizer once fruits set. Water deeply but infrequently. Harvest when skin is fully colored; cut with a 2–3 inch stem attached.
