Alaska Gourmet Nasturtium Salad Mix Nasturtiums were one of the first New World plants to become popular in European flower gardens. However, they weren’t introduced as a flower but as a vegetable. The Incas used it as a salad crop and medicinal herb. Nasturtium 'Alaska' is a very quick-growing climber, with a mixed color cascade of flowers, cream, yellow, orange, and red. They’re also delicious. This flower variety has variegated foliage when grown to maturity. The leaves and flowers are edible; use them as a showy garnish or to spice up a salad.
