Waltham is a great-tasting, short, variety producing medium-large heads. Grows best in colder weather. A very popular variety for the home garden. Cool climate broccoli variety that produces nice medium-sized heads and a good crop of side shoots. Plants are non-uniform in maturity resulting in a prolonged harvest period which is ideal for the home vegetable garden. The broccoli is easy to grow and delicious, taking 85 days to reach maturity. This heirloom variety dates back to 1950 when it was named for Waltham, MA where it was developed
