Red Core is bright golden-orange heirloom carrots that are fine-grained and tender, even when very large. This variety is known for its sweet, delicate flavor. The thick roots are smooth and about 6 inches long. Excellent for heavy or shallow soils. It does well in adverse climates and produces excellent quality yields, and Its ability to produce well in shallow soil is a bonus for container gardens.
