Honey Rock, Melon,
The Honey Rock Melon is an heirloom variety of the cantaloupe, developed at Michigan State University. It is typically sweeter and firmer than other cantaloupe melons. Honey Rock melons are ideal for home gardens in cool climates. Melons grow 6" by 5" and about 4-6 lbs when fully mature. Skin is a greenish-grey shade and is tough. The flesh is a deep salmon color and is very sweet, firm, and juicy. The vines are vigorous, and each one produces 5-7 melons. 80 days
