Carbon, Tomato,
Carbon Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum). A black heirloom with excellent flavor. Highly productive, resists cracking and cat-facing better than other large, black heirlooms, producing more marketable fruit. Blocky-round, 8 to 12 oz. Fruit with dark-olive shoulders fading into a very dark, brick red. It has the rich flavor and meaty texture of a classic black tomato. Excellent yields and fruit quality for an heirloom. Productive over a more extended period than similar types. Well-balanced plant habit. Excellent for salads and sandwiches. The average maturity is 75 to 80 days from transplanting. Indeterminate. Open Pollinated.
