It is a dark, meaty, vibrant fleshed tomato with extreme anthocyanin (the same antioxidant in blueberries and blackberries). So dark that some tomatoes turn solid black. The deep red meaty flesh inside, rich, sweet-tasting, is among the best-tasting tomatoes. Rich, smooth, and savory with earthy tones. Black Beauty is a mid-late season variety that ripens a little slow but is worth the wait. Black Beauty can hang ripe on the vine longer than most and has excellent post-harvest storage ability. Black Beauty tomato does well with a bit of aging at room temperature. As with all anthocyanin tomatoes, full sun will yield the darkest fruits. 75-80 days
