Big Blue is an heirloom from Guatemala, and this variety produces 10 lb, blue, banana-shaped fruit with mouthwatering flesh, similar in taste and texture to butternut. Fine texture & a superb keeper, skins are rock hard, the flesh is very firm. Vines are very productive. Blue squash is known for its long storage ability, making them drier and richer in flavor. This heirloom variety is very hard to find. (85 days) Open-pollinated.
