Amarylla Yellow, Tomatillo,
A Polish twist on an old Mexican staple vegetable! Immature fruits are green, morphing to pretty yellow as they ripen and begin to split their protective husks. The fruit is firm, juicy, and very sweet, perfect for jams, and jellies, and don't forget the salsa! We also love these in the garden for fresh snacking and salads. They are bred to thrive in the cooler summer conditions of inland Eastern Europe. The culture and care are similar to tomatoes, but, tomatillo plants will not self-pollinate, so two or more plants (of any tomatillo variety) are needed for good fruit production. 60 days.
