Double Red, Sweet Corn
Double Red Sweet Corn features red and purple colored kernels beneath red husks and on red stalks. It is one of the only corn varieties around with such unique coloration. Usable as fresh sweet corn, or, when dried, for flour. Brilliantly colored kernels in shades of red to purple on beautiful red stalks with/ red husks. High yields from 6-7' plants. It shows some color variation in stalk and husk color. It is a delicious early, 6-8" ear of sweet corn that is excellent for eating and is suitable for drying and grinding to make traditional corn flour (dating back to its Hopi ancestry). Open-pollinated. 85 days.
Alan "Mushroom" Kapuler is the breeder of this fantastic variety. He has been a plant breeder for over four decades and makes all his material available to the Public Domain.
